Luis del Valle

Especially devoted to the world of chamber music, Luis del Valle owes much of his prominence to the concert career he pursues with his brother Víctor: a piano duo that, after being proclaimed winner of the prestigious ARD International Music Competition (Munich, 2005), was soon recognised as one of the most outstanding chamber ensembles in Europe.

He trained at the Higher Conservatory of Málaga, the Sibelius Academy in Helsinki and the Reina Sofía School of Music under Dimitri Bashkirov, Marta Gulyás and Ralf Gothóni, where in 2005 he received the Most Outstanding Student distinction of the chamber music chair.

He collaborates regularly with violinist Ana María Valderrama and cellists Pablo Ferrández and Fernando Arias. He has performed at the National Auditorium of Madrid, the Palau de la Música Catalana, the Auditorium du Louvre in Paris and the Finnish National Opera in Helsinki, and combines his concert activity with teaching at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Madrid.
